Terms of Use

The terms that apply when you use the SabiLaw Academy website and register for our programmes.

Last updated: 20 October 2026

01About these terms

These Terms of Use apply to your use of academy.sabilaw.org and to registrations for programmes and courses offered by SabiLaw Research and Training Services Limited (trading as SabiLaw Academy) (“SabiLaw Academy”, “we”, “us”). By using the website or registering, you agree to these terms.

02Using our website

You may use the website for lawful purposes only. You must not misuse it, attempt to gain unauthorised access, introduce harmful code, or interfere with its operation.

03Information on the website

Website content, including articles, tips, videos and programme descriptions, is provided for general educational information. It is not a substitute for professional advice on your specific situation. We try to keep information accurate and current but do not guarantee it is complete or error-free.

Programme details, dates, venues, faculty and fees may change. The details confirmed in your joining instructions or invoice apply.

04Registration and payment

  • A place is confirmed only when we issue a confirmation and payment is received, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
  • Fees are stated per participant and exclude taxes, travel and accommodation unless stated otherwise. Group and institutional pricing is subject to written agreement.
  • Cancellations, transfers and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

05Certificates and SabiLaw Fellowship

Certificates are issued to participants who meet the attendance and completion requirements of the programme or course.

Admission as a SabiLaw Fellow (SLF) is a privilege conferred on participants who satisfactorily pass designated executive training programmes and meet the stated requirements, and on any outstanding individual in any field of endeavour, at the discretion of SabiLaw Academy. It is a privilege of the Academy, which reserves the right to confer, or refuse to confer, the Fellowship without giving reasons. We may withdraw a certificate or fellowship obtained through misconduct or false information.

06Participant conduct

Participants must behave professionally and respectfully, follow venue and host-institution rules, and respect the confidentiality of other participants. We may remove a participant whose conduct disrupts a programme, without a refund.

07Intellectual property

All website content, training materials, slides, templates and programme names (including APAM, LEMADING and our other programme names) belong to SabiLaw Academy or its licensors. Materials are for your personal or internal organisational use only and may not be copied, sold or redistributed without our written permission.

08Recording and photography

We may take photos or recordings at our events for records and promotion. Please tell the organisers if you do not wish to be photographed.

09Links to other websites

Our website links to other websites, including SabiLaw Group websites and social media. We are not responsible for the content or practices of websites we do not control.

10Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, SabiLaw Academy is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the website or its content. Our total liability in connection with a programme or course is limited to the fees paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11Events beyond our control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, strikes, civil unrest, government action, travel restrictions or illness of faculty. In such cases we will reschedule or offer a transfer.

12Governing law and dispute resolution

  • These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
  • Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms, our website or our programmes shall first be referred to mediation.
  • If the dispute is not resolved by mediation within 30 days, it shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration before a sole arbitrator appointed by the Chief Judge of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
  • The seat of arbitration shall be Abuja, Nigeria, and the language of the arbitration shall be English.

13Changes and contact

We may update these terms from time to time; the latest version will be on this page. Questions: [email protected] or +234 915 519 4001.
